Follow along with these easy steps to jump your car using the battery from another car. Before you do anything near the battery, move the two vehicles close together so you won't have trouble reaching each battery with the jumper cables. Turn off the car, put them in park, open both of the hoods.

The jumper cables are coded red for positive and black for negative. Look for the plus sign on the dead battery, attach a red cable. Do the same on the good battery. Look for the minus sign on the good battery, attach a black jumper cable. The other black cable will go to a metal surface anywhere near the battery to be jumped. Start one car, then the other, then remove the cables.

The team here at Bluebonnet Motors can easily load-test your car battery so you won't be in a position again to need a jump-start.
